Introduction of new ticket machines

New ticket machines were introduced and real time predictions at the bus stops were now possible for our customers. We were also proud to be announced as Gold Award Winners in the Environment category at the UK Bus Awards alongside Nottingham City Council. In this year, further routes were awarded including L3, L4, L9, L12, L73, W1, W2 and operated on the ever expanding fleet of electric buses, resulting in one of our largest recruitments for new drivers the company had undertaken. Nottingham Community Transport also joined the Kangaroo and Plusbus schemes. Dial-A-Ride was rebranded into Easylink, which saw the introduction of 6 new Transit vehicles, and a brand new booking system, along with many of the previous barriers to join the service removed. Finally in 2015, the introduction of the Robin Hood card would change the way people travel, with the ability to not be restricted to one operator and being able to use bus/tram/train for journeys within the Nottingham area
