Medilink services transferred

Medilink services were transferred to Nottingham Community Transport from the NHS Trust, which saw the introduction of Optare Versa electric buses operating on the route. We was also successful with our first contract for Nottinghamshire County Council operating services 74 and 705 in the Netherfield and Burton Joyce areas of Nottinghamshire. Tramworks in Clifton were causing major issues for many bus operators. This saw the introduction of the Clifton Shuttle, for which Nottingham Community Transport operated. The route was only scheduled to run for three months, yet continued for 18 months before all works were complete. Eventlink was introduced on behalf of NET (Tram) to transport Nottingham Forest fans between the City and Victoria Embankment. Further deliveries of electric buses were added to the fleet, and we became Europe’s largest operator of electric buses. Group Travel vehicles were upgraded to improve the profile of the service.
